Fairy Tales with Wings: Disney Princess Mashups at Comicon 2025

At Toronto Comicon 2025, our group sprinkled a little extra pixie dust on the con floor with one of our most whimsical themes yet — fairy versions of Disney princesses!

We invited cosplayers to take their favourite royal characters and imagine them as magical fairies, complete with wings, floral accents, and sparkling details. The result? A dazzling mix of creativity that felt straight out of a storybook.

Some members went for flowy, ethereal looks with nature-inspired accessories, while others leaned into bold colours and dramatic silhouettes — and we loved every bit of it. It was amazing to see how everyone interpreted the theme in their own way, whether it was a subtle nod to a character or a full-on fantasy transformation.

As always, our group welcomed cosplayers of all experience levels. Some used thrifted or purchased base pieces they modified, others worked from patterns, and some created their costumes entirely from scratch. No matter the method, every costume reflected the creativity and passion our community brings to every event.

We had so much fun fluttering around the con floor, taking photos, and spreading a little fairy tale magic with everyone we met.
